NORWICH, CONN. WATER REPORT. Superintendent Bartlett in his annual report to the water commissioners of Norwich, Conn.,gives receipts $48,206. 58, and expenditures (including $2,500 paid the Falls Company, completing in full $5,000 for their right and interest in Meadow brook), $29,826; deducting interest on water bonds, $16,500, a net revenue of $1,880.04 is left. Among the sources of expenditure during the past year was the placing of the 10-inch cement main from Yantic to Sachem street en Washington street with a 16-inch main at a cost of $2,000. During the year 13,386 feet of cement mains have been replaced with iron. 8,052 feet of extensions or new mains have also been laid, making a total of 21,888 feet of mains laid through the year.
