FIRE NEWS New bands of firebugs seem to be organizing in New York, In three days four fires undoubtedly caused by incendiaries were found in various parts of the city. All these fires started iu the same way. This leads to the opinion that they were the work of the same organized gang The police and fire marshal scoff at the idea of a regular band of firebugs, and say each blaze is the work of a novice. Murder might have been added to arson in the case of a fire at No. 108 East One Hundred and Nineteenth street, a rickety frame building, where the firebugs had poured several gallons of kerosene over the hallway, stairway, and wainscoating.
