TROY, N. Y., WATER DEPARTMENT. The forty-first annual report of the board of water commis sioners of Troy, N. Y., for the year ending February 29. 1806, as prepared by Clerk George B.Fales.was read by him to the board March 28,and gives the following interesting details among the statistics included in the report. In addition to the usual features, the financial portion shows: Balance on hand March 1, 1895, $3,709.36; regular water rents 1895, $72,461.20; collected by clerk, $23,605.78; received for bonds sold, $10,076.50; total resources, $109,852.87; payments for the year, $99,914 17; balance on hand March 1, 1896, $9,938.70. There are 268 meters are in use. During the year there were metered 400 151.522 gallons of water, an increase over last year. Five fire hydrants and 13 valves were added. There were 148 laterals put in during the year, 22 by plumbers and 126 by the board. The total…
