Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has reorganized its fire department on American models.—The British steamer Lucerne, while loading for an eastbound voyage at Liverpool caught fire from the explosion of a lamp and was scuttled and sunk to prevent her total destruction.—A short time ago the London papers took note of a slight fire out at Brentford, Essex, in a club house that used to be the residence of Nell Gwynn.
