FIRE NEWS About one year ago the Park theatre at Niagara Falls,N.Y. was burned and was rebuit by a stock company. The new building shared the fate of its predecessor at 1 o’clock a. m.,on August 7. A boxing exhibition had been given in the theatre the night before and the fire was probably the result of carelessness. When it was discovered the flames had made great headway and burst through the roof and walls in several places and spread to Geogan’s bazaar and restaurant and scorched the adjoining International hotel. The guests from the latter hurried out,as fora short time the safety of the large hostelry was threatened. Good work on the part of the firemen, however, prevented any very serious damage to it. Half an hour after the discovery of the fire the walls of the theatre fell in, the fire being under control by 2 o’clock. The…
