RETIREMENT OF SUPERINTENDENT RYLE. At his own request and at his own suggestion Mr. William Ryle, superintendent and manager of the Passaic Water Company, has been retired, after a faithful service of a quarter of a century. Mr. Ryle, however, in the absence of Mr. Hobart, Vice-President of the United States,president of the company, will,as its vice-president, continue to perform the duties attaching to the headship of the company and be in full control of its business at Paterson, N. J. Mr. Ryle has fairly earned a rest. He has worked zealously and indefatigably for the interests of the Passaic Water Company, and has filled the position of superintendent faithfully and to the satisfaction of the corporation and the water-takers. Under his care the company has grown from small beginnings to be the large and important corporation it is to day—supplying not only Patterson, but also Passaic with water. To…
