DESTRUCTIVE LIGHTNING. LAST week and this lightning caused a considerable amount of loss in many of the States—especially in New England and Pennsylvania. At Haverhill. Mass., four shoe factories were struck, and at Bradford nearby four barns were struck and burned—the loss running up to nearly $10,000. At Arlington the storm was terrific. One man was killed while standing in the doorway of the basement of a new school house, and five men working with him were severely injured. At North Andover,a $7,000 barn was struck and burned down. At North Attleboro an icehouse, valued, with contents -T $1,500, was destroyed. Barn of Willis Frink, near Swanton, Vt., struck and consumed, ith contents, besides all the outhouses.
