CHARLOTTE’S NEW WATER WORKS SUPERINTENDENT. Mayor C. H Campbell, of Ocala, Fla., has just been appointed superintendent of the water works of Charlotte, N. C. While congratulating Charlotte on its new water works superintendent, it must no: be forgotten that that city’s conspicuous gain is an equally conspicuous loss to Ocala. The high esteem in which Superintendent Campbell was held by his fellow citizens was shown last December, when he was elected mayor of Ocala by a majority of 236 to fifty-nine. Mayor Campbell is a Georgian by birth, but has lived in Florida since 1332, and was recognized throughout the State as one of its mast p iblic spirited and most representative men.
