WATER SUPPLY A driven well 273 feet deep at the Perth Amboy, N. J., city water station at Runyon has been reopened after being allowed to close up last winter. It is six inches in diameter for a part of the depth, and then four inches. There was a steady flow when the well was driven a year ago, and the engineer at the water works now reports a daily flow of 220.000 gallons. The water is clear, cold, and pure, according to chemical analysis. The question of a system of water works is being agitated at Coleman,Mich., and the people of Mount Pleasant are talking of making extensions to the system they have at present. New water mains are to be laid on St. Clair and Ontario avenues, Renovo, Pa. E. H. Walsh, C. E., of Lock Haven, Pa., is making surveys for the work. No appropriation was made…
