PACIFIC COAST FIRE CHIEFS. The sixth annual convention of the Pacific Coast Association of Fire Chiefs met at Seattle, Wash., on August 25. A reorganization was effected, with the following officers: President, Chief Walter L. Moore, Los Angeles, Cal.; secretary, Chief Gardner Kellogg, Seattle, Wash. There were present: Chief Carlisle, Vancouver, B. C.; Chief Parker, Nanaimo, B. C.; Assistant Chief Lawson, Oakland, Cal.; Chief Wright, Roslyn. Wash; Chief Hook. Pueblo, Colo,; Assistant Chief Cook, Seattle, Wash.; Chief Bower, Tacoma, Wash.; Chief Clarke, New Whatcom, Wash.; Chief Stover, Grant’s Pass, Ore.; W. H. Bringhurst, J. McKenna, W. L. Williamson, and A. R. Pinkney. Chief Kellogg pointed out that the loss of $2,500 through the defalcation of the former secretary of the association was the cause of its ruin for the time, but that everything was now settled and a new start could be made free fr*m debt and incumbrance.
