WATER AT PUBLIC EXPENSE. UNDER the above title an article appeared in last Sunday’s issue of the New York Tribune. In it are quoted many things concerning the water supply and distribution of several prominent cities of the United States. The Borough of Brooklyn is pointed out, particularly, as in urgent need of more water and plenty of it. Attention is also called to the fact of the need of immediate consideration of the development of plans for more water. This notwithstanding the prospect of an early completion of plans which will absorb all of the water obtainable on the Croton shed.
