WATER SUPPLY There is every indication that the Buffalo, N. Y., board of public works will decide favorably as to the petition of Depew water works committee, for a supply of water from the Buffalo system. The conditions on which the application is made are as follows: The water is to be taken from the city mains in Walden avenue and Doat street by mains which will be laid to the etty line, where the quantity taken will be registered by a meter, placed on a lot owned by the petitioners. The regular rates adopted by the city will be paid. The expense of laying the extra mains inside the city line is to be paid by the petitioners; but the mains are to be the property of ‘he city.
