WATER SUPPLY Avondale, Ala., is urging the project of constructing a water works plant, and will probably issue bonds for the purpose. The town of Drnvosburg Pa., a suburb of McKeesport, will be supplied with water from the last named city. The American Water Works & Guarantee Company has secured permission to lay pipes across the Monangahcla river for that purpose. The law authorizing the construction of a $30,000 system at Oakland. Md,, is saic to be defective. The aettion of the council in issuing bonds is therefore nullified. Jersey City’s street and water board has awarded the contract for a permanent water supply to Patrick II Flynn, of the borough of Brooklyn, N. V., for $7,595,000. The award must be approved by Mayor Hr os before it can become effective.
