PERSONAL. The resignation of Chief Benjamin Brittingham, of the Danville, Ill., fire department, has been accepted with regret. Mr. Brittingham, whose health is beginning to give way, has made a splendid record for himself as chief. Mr. A M. Barron, general manager of the Home Electric Light and Power company, of Elkhart, Ind., has assumed the general superintendency of the following plants, in addition to-his present duties: The Franklin Water, Light, and Power company, on Franklin, Ind.: the Indiana Water and Light company, of Worthington, Ind.; the Lawrenceville Light and Water company, of Lawrenceville, Ill.; and the St. Anne Water and Light company, of St. Anne, Ill.
