PACIFIC COAST ASSOCIATION OF FIRE CHIEFS. (Special correspondence of FIRE AND WATER.) SPOKANE, WASH., October 5, 1900. SPOKANE was this year the convention city for the Pacific Coast Association of Fire Chiefs, which assembled on Tuesday in the City council chamber under the presidency of Thomas Deasy, chief of the fire department of Victoria, B. C. The address of welcome was delivered by Mayor Comstock, and was appropriately replied to by President Deasy. who then delivered the annual address. This included a summing up of the year’s work, and a detailed account of the general condition of the association, a sketch of its plans for the future, and some advice as to the course to be pursued during the year.
