HARRISON’S NEW FIRE HOUSE. Harrison, N. J. (says the Newark Sunday Call), is to have a new fire enginehouse. It is to be a substantial brick structure, fitted out according to the latest approved plan. The designs were drawn by Architect Henry J. King, of Newark. It is to be known as Passaic hose No. 1. There will be a cellar under the entire building. On the first floor will be the apparatus room, with sitting room in the rear; also a locker room, toilet room, etc. There will be a meeting room on the second floor, with bath and bedrooms for the firemen. The building will be faced outside with Hackensack brick, and the fronts will have tooled limes on trimmings. The interior finish will be of cypress, natural wood finish and varnished.
