One of the worst of these is the massive stone cell house, whose roof is of wood covered with tin, which makes it a regular firetrap. MICHAEL J. DADY, the contractor of Brooklyn, N. Y., whose franchise for paving and sewering the city of Havana was recently settled for $250,000, has returned to this city. He expects to go back to Havana soon, and hopes to be awarded a portion of the work when the new contract is let.
