GENTLEMEN: We have repeatedly had called to our attention the fact that Ira H. Jewell, of Chicago, Ill., represents himself as being identified with the Jewell Filter, and also represents himself as being backed financially by his father, O. H. Jewell, of the O. H. Jewell Filter company, of Chicago. We called Mr. O. H. Jewell’s attention to the matter, and he makes the following statement, which we wish you would give as prominent a place in your paper as you possibly can: CHICAGO, ILL., February 20, 1001.
