MISCELLANEOUS. A new writer of sea stories will appear in the April Scribner’s. He is a Boston man, James B. Connolly, who has found rich material among the Gloucester Ashermen, and he has the knack of writing exciting tales. The following pieces of apparatus have recently been delivered by Chas. T. Holloway & Co., of Baltimore, Md.: Chemical engines to North East, Md., Kennett Square, Pa., and Stockton, Cal.: combination wagons to Massillon and Steubenville, Ohio. The city of Fitchburg, Mass., has placed an order with the Combination Ladder company, of Providence, R. I., for a city-size Seagrave trussed truck outfit complete for the equipment of the new Oak Mill station, in the Cleghorn district—that district being so hilly and the Seagrave track so light.—The same company has also sold to Boston, Mass., one more Holloway combination hook and ladder truck and chemical engine, a duplicate of track No. 7…
