WESTMINSTER AND ITS WATER SUPPLY. (Special to FIRE AND WATER.) WESTMINSTER, MD., April 10,1901. The Westminster Water company, which was organized in 1883,and whose plant was built by Colonel W. W. Taylor, a practical engineer and contractor,has just taken a step which will give our citizens not only chemically pure water equal to the best in the United States, but at a rate as low as any waterworks company in the country. At a meeting of its board of directors, although its water rates had been reduced, a further reduction of twenty per cent, was made on all licenses, if paid before May 1, of each year. In addition, it announced its determination to introduce new features and many modern improvements on the first of this month. Water pipes will be placed in every dwellinghouse in Westminster that lias not heretofore had the use of the water, free of charge…
