JOHN H. DECKER DEAD. The death to announced of John H. Decker, late assistant engineer in charge of the distribution of water supply at Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Decker, who had been ailing some time, died at his home in Brooklyn on Wednesday last. The deceased was well known in the West as an engineer and the constructor of waterworks and gas plants. He was a thoroughly efficient waterworks man during both his Western and his Eastern career. In public life he was a diligent, conscientious, and able official. In private he was a faithful and loyal friend, whose genial and kindly disposition endeared him to a large circle of acquaintances. In the success of the American Waterworks association he always displayed a most lively interest, and was an ardent worker for the advancement of the objects it had in view, and tho development of its aims.
