A WATER-LOVING GHOST. Last Easter Sunday Pietro Panquilli was shot dead in a family row in a tenementhouse in Brook street, Paterson, N. J. The house is now “haunted” and the dead, but unseen hands of the murdered man are said to open the water faucets every night at 9 o’clock—a species of mortmain to which the local Little Italy does not take kindly. Who turns the water off every morning is not stated.
