Alexander, one of the assistant city engineers of this city. I desire to advise you that your correspondent must have misinformed you when that, article was sent you. for the reason that there is not a solitary word of troth in the article, except the bare statement that Mr. Alexander was dismissed from the employ of the city by the civil service board.
