EAST ORANGE AND ITS WATER. The report of Peter Milne, C. E., of New York, the expert employed to value the water supply plant of the East Orange, N. J., Water company, which is willing to sell its system to the city for $800,000, has been published. The values put upon the plant have been based upon recent prices of material and labor and are taken as fairly representing an approximate cost of reproducing a new plant. The estimate does not include any figures for the large tract of land on which the pumphouse, enginehouse, and wells of the company are located, nor does it include any figures for the franchise of the company.
