CONNECTICUT STATE FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION. Secretary John S. Jones, of Westport, Conn., has brought out in his accustomed, neat, and accurate style the “Proceedings of the Eighteenth Annual Convention of the Connecticut State Firemen’s Association” held at Hartford on May 21, 22, 1901. It contains among other matter, the usual portrait gallery, an interesting stenographic report of the proceedings, and a full list of the members and the companies enrolled in the association. This is the seventeenth annual report that Secretary Jones has issued. It is to be hoped that this veteran fireman aud editor may be spared to issue many more. Neither the association nor the community can afford to dispense with his services. His name is a household word in the ranks of firefighters, who value him for the good work he has done and continues to do. The secretary sets forth in his report the importance of State…
