MISCELLANEOUS. The Volkhardt Meter Box company, has sent many of its boxes to the following places, water companies and departments: Stapleton, Peekskill, Gloversville, Haverstraw, Dangan Hills, N. Y., Ashville, N. C., Fort Worth, Texas; Plymouth, N. H.;. Stamford, Conn.; Rockport, Mass.; Paterson, N. J.; and are shipping hundreds to Hartford, Conn. The Stillwell-Bierce & Smith-Vaile Co., recently shipped to the Seaford waterworks, Seaford, Del., one of its improved Stilwell feed-water heaters. The company also shipped one of these feed-water heaters to the city waterworks, Platteville, Wis. Las Vegas, N. Mex., has put in service the combination chemical engine and hose wagon built by the Seugrave company.—The department of Nebraska City, Neb., has been materially strengthened by the addition of a Seagrave combination hose wagon and chemical engine.—Covington, Ky., has just put in service a large hook and ladder truck built by the same company, carrying 400 feet of ladders.
