Belleville, Kan., has purchased and has now full control of the local waterworks system. Tacoma, Wash., will purchase the Phillips waterworks plant in South Tacoma for $.3,850. Springfield. III., is badly in need of a better water supply. A filter plant is one remedy talked of. Not before it is needed, the water supply at Jefferson barracks, Mo., is to be improved.
