OBITUARY. David H. Darling, president of the United States Battery company, 552 State street. Brooklyn. N. Y.. died very suddenly of apoplexy on Wednesday. March 26. The deceased, who was in the prime of life, was of a very genial disposition and much respected by all with whom he came in contact. He was engaged in banking business and had made the company of which he was president at the time of his death a very prosperous institution. Mr. Darling leaves a widow and seven children. A library for the firemen of Washington, D. C., will be established in the near future.
