FIRE AND WATER In this issue of FIRE AND WATER are eight pages of portraits printed only on one side, so that they may be removed for framing or other purpose, if desired, These finely executed pictures were arranged and plates made at considerable expense by us, and we trust they will be appreciated by our many readers. We must ask the indulgence of our friends in the various fire departments for the large amount of our space given in this issue to the convention of the American Waterworks association. There may, however, be sufficient matter of interest to them in the subjects treated of, as the interests of fire protection and water supply are so closely allied as to resemble those of twins.
