THE WORK OF FIRE ENGINEERS. News From All Points. CINCINNATI, OHIO. During 1501 the organisation and numerical force of the fire department of Cincinnati, Ohio, was increased by the addition of seven new members for an engine company and a hook and ladder company as well, and the number of fire houses by one. The superior officers number seven and are as follows: Fire marshal and superintendent of fire alarm telegraph, J. A. Archibald; first assistant fire marshal, Thomas McAvoy; second assistant fire marshal, M. L. Campbell; first district assistant fire marshal, Henry Bunker; second district, Philip Hurley; third district, Casper Strcif: fourth district. John O’F. Miller; secretary, C. F. Lakeman. There are fiftythree companies, with a total of 330 members, besides the tool waeon. cistern and plug, hose shop and fire alarm crews, sixteen—making, with the officers, secretary and assistant secretary, a total of 354 men, distributed over twenty-nine…
