THE FIRE ENGINEERS’ CONVENTION. It is now drawing near the date of holding the annual convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers in this city. The preparations of the local committee are ample for the occasion, and it only remains for the fire engineers to decide at once that they will he present to make the meeting a great success. If the fire committee, commissioners, or those in authority are only approached in time, we think there will he no difficulty in procuring their co-operation to send delegates at the expense of the city or town from which such delegates come. The benefit to the place sending its chief will far surpass the amount expended in defraying his traveling expenses.
