Kindsehy is chief of the Arcadia, Wis., firemen. Fremont, Ohio, has purchased 500 feet of Fabric fire hose. Chicago will experiment with auto cars to haul its fire apparatus. George H. Bishop has been elected fire commissioner of Newport, Ky. Frank T. Shaffer has been elected chief of the fire department of Westminster, Md. C. C. Kinsley is chief of the newly organised fire department at Summittville, Tenn. Dubuque, Ia., insists that all three-story buildings shall be equipped with fire escapes.
