THE FEBRUARY FIRE LOSS. The following comparative table shows the fire losses for February during three years, as well as the losses for January during the same period, and three years’ aggregate losses for January and February. (The Paterson, N. J., $4,500,000 loss, and that of Waterbury, Conn. ($1,500,000), being included in the loss of February, 1902): During last February there were 216 fires where the loss was from $10,000 upwards, as follows: $10.000 to $20,000, sixty-eight; $20,000 to $30,000, thirtyseven ; $30,000 to $50,000, twenty-eight; $50,000 to 75,000, thirty-eight; $75,000 to $100,000, fifteen; $100.000 to $200,000, seventeen; $200,000 to $1,765,000. thirteen ; total, 216. The most destructive fires last month were as under: Rock Island, Ill., arsenal shop. $1,165,000; Cincinnati, O., theatre block and office buildings. $1,265,000: Salt Lake City, Utah, business block, $515,000; New York city, clothing store and other, $425,000; Springfield, O., theatre and business block, $325,000;…
