THE LATE WILLIAM J. WEBBER. It is with the deepest and. the most sincere regret that we announce the death of William J. Webber, eldest son of former Chief L. P. Webber, of the fire department of Boston. The deceased, who was only thirty-four years of age, died of a complication of diseases in the house of his parents at Quincy, Mass., on April 28, and was buried in Mount Calvary cemetery, from St. John’s church, Boston, on May 1. The solemn High Mass of Requiem was attended by hundreds of friends, including representatives from the fire departments of Boston and surrounding cities and towns. The floral offerings were many, and of the richest description. Although not himself a fireman, William Webber was well known to the members of fire departments in the United States, as for over sixteen years he had been employed by the Cornelius Callahan company, of…
