THE ITHACA WATERWORKS PLANT. It is seldom a waterworks company insists on disposing of its plant under condemnation proceedings, yet this is the course the Ithaca, N. Y., Waterworks company has taken, as will be seen by the following resolution which it recently passed: “Whereas, this company has, in fact, accepted the provisions of the act, chapter 181, Laws of 1903, entitled ‘An act to establish and maintain a water department in and for the city of Ithaca, by limiting the construction of the dam to the height of thirty feet, as required by said act, and has completed the filtration plant referred to therein, so that its supply of water is safe for the use of the citizens: and. “Whereas, nevertheless the position of this company may he either not understood or misunderstood ; therefore. “Resolved, that this company accept the provisions of said act. and stand ready to…
