THE FIRE INSURANCE COMMITTEE. On Monday last a meeting of the fire insurance committee of the American Water Works association was held at the Astor house, Manhattan, New York, to consider the scope of the report to be presented at the next meeting of the association at St. Louis, Mo. C. H. Campbell, past president of the association and chairman of the committee, presided, and G. H. Felix, of Reading, Pa., acted as secretary of the meeting. The following were in attendance: F. H. Crandall, engineer and superintendent Burlington, Vt., waterworks, chairman of the fire insurance committee of the New England Waterworks association; C. H. Campbell, superintendent Charlotte, N. C.; A. E. Boardman, C. E.; Morris Sherrerd, engineer and superintendent. Newark, N. J.; G. H. Felix, commissioner, Reading, Pa.; and F. W. Shepperd, of the committee.
