PROGRESS IN FIRE PROTECTION. The Combination Ladder company has made delivery at Passaic, N. J., of a No. 75 Seagrave selfraising, aerial truck of the latest improved model. The delivery tests were immensely satisfactory to all concerned. The operation of the truck demonstrated that the aerial ladder could be placed in service inside of twenty seconds and is easily operated by one man.—The same company has sold to Stoneham, Mass., a combination chemical wagon, and has been awarded a contract by Weedsport, N. Y., for a complete Seagrave trussed truck and ladder outfit of the latest and most approved pattern.—The company has likewise received duplicate orders for hose carts for the United States government during the past week, and Fairhaven, Conn., will instill in service a combination chemical wagon of the Holloway design. built by the Combination Ladder company and one of the handsomest in the State of Connecticut.
