Russellville, Ky., will soon have a waterworks system. The new auxiliary pump at Mobile, Ala., is to cost $15,000. New waterworks for Manchester, Va., will cost $35,000. Springfield, Ill., is busy installing its new waterworks system. To complete the laying of mains at Columbus, Ohio, $75,700 is needed. Hopewell (Auspicious name!), N. J., hopes for wells and a water system. The Umatilla river does not furnish good enough water for Pendleton, Ore. Ellicott City, Ind., has voted against issuing bonds for a waterworks system. It will cost Idaho Springs, Colo., about $75,000 to rebuild its waterworks system. A complete municipal waterworks system for Santa Monica, Cal., wall cost $150,000.
