AMONG THE FIRE ENGINEERS NEWS OF THE DEPARTMENTS, SPECIALLY PREPARED FOR FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING. ALBANY, N. Y . The annual parade inspection and review of the fire department of Albany, N. Y., took place on the afternoon of October 12. With it was joined the police force, and the two bodies of men made a fine showing. The first division in the parade was composed of police, just ahead of whom and following the band were Mayor Charles H. Gaus, Edward B. Cantine, commissioner of public safety, and William J. Rice, clerk. The second and third divisions were those of the fire department. The second was headed by Chief Michael G. Higgins and Lewis J. Miller, clerk, with Call Assistant Engineer James M.
