NEW HAMPSHIRE FIRE LOSS DECREASING. According to the report issued by Commissioner Linchan, covering New Hampshire fires for the six months ending July 1, there has been a marked decrease from the losses of the same period in 1903, as may be seen from the following figures, showing the number of fires, loss on buildings and contents, and the insurance loss for the first six months of 1903 and 1904; 1903—Number of fires, 218; loss on buildings, $528,637; on contents, $354,009; total, $882,646; insurance paid, $490,380. 1904—Number of fires, 270; loss on buildings, $276,175; on contents, $187,377; total, $463,552; insurance paid, $285,145.
