THE AMERICAN-LA FRANCE FIRE ENGINE COMPANY. Readers of this journal have noticed from week to week the long list of fire apparatus contracted for by this concern. It shows that great activity exists in the three principal works of the company in turning out all classes of firstclass firefighting machines to equip the departments and bring them up to such standards as will place them in positions effectively to fight fires in their respective places As an instance of this demand for apparatus the following list gives some of the orders received during the month of July, as well as some of the more important shipments and deliveries during that month, which is a very good indication of the amount of new fire apparatus regularly installed in service by the fire departments of the country: ORDERS RECEIVED FOR NEW ENGINES AND THE REBUILDING OF others.—West New York, N.
