THE NEW ENGLAND WATERWORKS ASSOCIATION MEETING A Record-breaker of the Organisation. The New England Waterworks association held its most successful annual meeting at the Murray Hill hotel, New York, last week, and it may be safely stated that it was its banner convention, so far as regards the numbers in attendance goes, the register showing nearly 600 present. There was, also, a large display of waterworks appliances shown in the large dininghall of the hotel, which the management kindly set apart for that purpose. An attractive entertainment program was prepared for the visitors and carried out without a hitch, the weather, too, being all that could be desired for the event. FIRST DAY. On Wednesday at to a. m., President Bowers rapped for order, and J. Waldo Smith introduced Corporation Counsel Delany, who, on behalf of the mayor, welcomed the delegates to the city.
