CORRESPONDENCE THE NATIONAL FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION. To FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING: The new administration of the National Firemen’s association, inspired by the success of the past year, is going to try mighty hard to impress every member of the American fire service, during the next year of the paramount importance of his giving to this splendid organisation his cordial support and co-operation. I would have all to understand distinctly that there is not, and cannot be any rivalry between the two organisations, as our objects and purposes, while on entirely different lines, are purely mutual and beneficial. At our recent convention, we took up as our primary work, the question of legislation, both State and National, and committees of representative men— men who will act—-were appointed to safeguard our interests.
