GREATEST OF FIRES. Seven hundred years before Columbus discovered America a sacred fire was built on the Gujerati coast. It has never been allowed to go out, and is burning today at Udvada in a fire temple built by the Parsecs in 790 A. D. I know a lot of suburbanites who would like to have a fire as everlasting as that. When it was mentioned to one of them he replied; “Great Scott and Lucifer! What a frightful quantity of coal it must have consumed in all those years!”
