NATIONAL FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION. The following letter concerning the National Firemen’s association has just been sent out from Neosho, Mo.: “Dear Sir.—At the annual convention of the National Firemen’s association held in Kansas City. Mo., in August last, a standing committee was instituted, to he known as the insurance committee. for the purpose of formulating a plan for a united movement to secure to the firemen a proper distribution of what is known as the two per cent, tax on insurance premiums. T hose members of this committee present at Kansas City, met, organised and instructed each member to secure copies of the laws in their States relating to the taxing of insurance companies and of the distribution of these taxes and to send the copies to the secretary of the committee, Mr. Chas.
