WATERWORKS ITEMS FROM ALL PARTS From Special Reports to FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING Portland, Ore., is receiving bids for water meters. A gravity waterworks system is needed at Aurora, Ore. Livermore Falls, Me., will purchase the existing waterworks system. Negaunee, Mich., will soon add to the number of its water meters. The reservoir to be built at Asheville, N. C., will cost from $50,000 to $60,000. The Massapequa Water company, of Massapequa, N. Y., has been incorporated. The auxiliary pumping station for Carnden, X. J., will probably be built at Red Hill. Tecumseh, Okla., has contracted for the installation of a $60,000 waterworks system. It will cost Comfrey, Minn., in the neighborhood of $5,000 to build its new waterworks system. The water supply of Chihuahua, Mexico, is to be increased by building a dam on the Chuwiscar river. John Stewart is now the chief engineer of irrigation for the Provinces…
