Crandall is the new fire chief at Herkimer, N. Y. At East Methuen, Mass., the volunteer fire company owns its quarters. John F. Burnett is now chief of the fire department of Suffield, Conn. At Dexter, Me., Leslie Curtis has been chosen chief of the lire department. St. Joseph, Mo., now has II. G. Hughson as chief of its lire department. The Oelwein, la., fire department has elected V. II. Meyer as its chief. Clifton Springs, N. V., has chosen Harry J. Van Dyne as its fire chief. II C. Town has been elected chief of the Oconowoc, Wis., (ire department.
