CALIFORNIAN WATER SYNDICATE. The Oakland, Cal., Realty syndicate, which has absorbed the Contra Costa waterworks, has also absorbed the Sierra Nevada Power company, whose sources of water supply are the Blue lakes and the Mokelumne river, and expects thereby to meet the wants of Oakland and the adjacent cities now supplied by the Contra Costa company. It now proposes, if allowed, to furnish water to San Francisco by selling that city all its water rights and properties in Alpine. Calaveras and Amador. The company offers all these privileges for the sum of $67,000,000, guarantees an immediate supply of 135,000,000 gallons a day of the highest quality of water.
