PROPOSED CHANGE OF TITLE OF INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION. Last week was published a series of extracts from letters received by this journal from fire chiefs throughout the country on the subject of the proposed change of the name of the International Association of Fire Engineers by substituting “Fire Chiefs” for “Fire Engineers.” The accompanying letter from Chief James R. Hopkins of Somerville is so characteristic of the writer, who never hesitates to speak his mind openly on any question in which he is interested, that it is reproduced in full.
