Issue 17 and Volume 40.

HE IS VERY MUCH ALIVE. In a notice of the Memorial Service that took place at Dallas, Tex., during the recent convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers all the papers that reported that event inserted the name of Isaac B. Markey or Markley, of New York city, as one of those who had died during the past year. The reporter ought to have written Isaac B. Hyatt, of Meriden, Conn., whose death took place in the interval between the convention of 1905 and that of 1906. The many friends of Isaac B. Markev, of New York, are not only glad to know that he is not dead, but that he is very much alive, as was clearly evidenced by his activity and the liveliness of his movements at Dallas.
